This is a piece I did for the Equity and Diversity Office at UW Tacoma. I was fairly restricted in this project because I had to work within an existing template (for updating purposes). They wanted to use the same imagery but make the site more consistent and smooth. They felt that the header and side bar were disjointed. I decided to keep one image but have it flow between the two. This forces the viewer to connect the top and side elements. The next major obstacle was to work with the text and make it more inviting for the viewer. The Diversity Center has a color palette established that was not represented in the site so I decided to incorporate it into the text as an organizing tool. I used various levels of indentation to break up the information.
