This is a mural I designed for the UW Tacoma Campus. Its purpose is to raise school pride and foster UW Tacoma identity. I chose to represent the University in many shades of purple. I decided to create an entire environment incorporating the major key components of the campus. I including various buildings and the link train that runs downtown Tacoma. I also used a Chihuly glass sculpture that hangs in the library, which I flipped upside down and used as trees. The students I chose to represent as larger than life and immersed in the University by directly interacting with the campus. The piece is 340 inches wide and 70 inches high and will hang in the Garretson Woodruff Pratt (GWP) building on the UW Tacoma campus.
